With over 15 years of experience in design and consultancy, Lee specializes in practical, sustainable solutions for all building types, including listed and heritage properties. After earning a degree in architecture, Lee transitioned to energy and sustainability, gaining extensive experience across domestic, educational, commercial, and industrial sectors.

With over 12 years in building services, Lee has a deep understanding of building performance and has developed innovative energy strategies for numerous London Estates and heritage projects.

Paul joined LP Energy Associates in 2022 as a joint partner, bringing his range of residential and commercial expertise to the company. Having worked for a long-standing MEP consultant, Paul gained a wealth of knowledge, before moving to a large developer. Paul’s work focused on large residential schemes, carrying out SAP compliance, overheating, thermal bridging, SBEM compliance and day to day energy consulting, before becoming a partner at LP Energy. Paul is the main liaison for a number of valued clients, including large London estates, large developers and asset managers.

Who are we?

LP Energy Associates is a specialist energy, sustainability and building services consultancy based in Chelmsford, Essex. For more than 15 years we have helped developers, architects, landlords and contractors meet Part L, Part O and planning requirements, from SAP and TM59 overheating assessments to EPCs, BREEAM and MEP design. We work across Essex, Greater London and the Home Counties.

  • Certification and compliance
    SAP and non-domestic energy assessments (Levels 3 to 5), EPCs and Display Energy Certificates, TM44, air testing, retrofit assessment, 25% glazing calculations (Part L1B), MEES compliance and portfolio energy management.

    Building physics and design
    TM52 and TM59 overheating, Part O compliance, daylighting, heating and cooling loads, heat loss, whole life carbon, lifecycle costing, carbon zero strategy, and mechanical, electrical and public health design.

    Sustainability and ESG
    Embodied carbon, Scope 1, 2 and 3, SECR, decarbonisation and net zero planning, climate risk, ESG mapping, biodiversity and BREEAM assessment.
